Whether or not WSD is an advantage depends purely on the situation. Whether you can use them or not depends on which operating system you have on you client. If the PC has the printer listed as 'DELLEDCAAC ' then it shows up in the Dell Document Hub app.There is a lot of discussion about IP addresses etc for printer problems. I have also noticed that the Dell Document Hub app will not recognise a printer if the PC has it listed as 'Dell C1765nf Printer'.

But when connected via LAN/Wifi, I get a Windows based dialogue box with the full options to set the ICM mode, etc. On the PCs that see the printer as 'Dell C1765nf Printer', I get the same properties box as above when connected by USB. This properties dialogue box only gives 3 tabs: General, Layout, Paper & Tray and does not give the options to implement Philip Warren's solution. On the PCs that see the printer as 'DELLEDCAAC ', I get a much simplified printer properties menu that looks to be connected to the Dell Document Hub app. Some of the computers see the printer as 'DELLEDCAAC ' the others see it as 'Dell C1765nf Printer'. I have a Dell C1765nf and use it with several computers around the house. I have some further info for any Dell engineers who are trying to identify and fix this issue for good. Only problem now is that I cannot print in just black and white but that's better than not printing at all. It's a good solution and is working for now.
